- How is the score calculated?
- Each bullet is checked for the things that make a bullet forgettable: a weak opener like "responsible for" or "worked on", no number anywhere, first-person pronouns, passive voice like "was responsible for", and length that's either too short to say anything or too long to skim. Each miss costs points; the overall score is the average across every bullet.
- Is this the same as an ATS score?
- No. Applicant tracking systems parse and rank based on keyword matching against a specific job ad, and their scoring is not public. This tool checks the writing quality of each bullet on its own — the kind of thing a recruiter's ten-second skim would notice regardless of which job you're applying for.
- Is my CV stored or sent anywhere?
- No. The check runs entirely in your browser. Your bullets are never uploaded, saved or used to train anything.
- What does "quantification" mean?
- Adding a number to show impact instead of just describing a task. "Managed a support team" is a task. "Managed a support team of 8, cutting average response time by 35%" is a quantified result — it's the difference recruiters actually notice.
