Questions
- How is the match score calculated?
- We pull the most important keywords out of the job ad (skills and tools count the most, then terms the ad repeats) and check which of them appear in your CV. The score is the weighted share you cover. It is a keyword check, not a verdict on your fit.
- Is this the same as an ATS score?
- No. Applicant tracking systems differ and their scoring is not public. This tool shows the same kind of gap a keyword filter looks for, so a low score is a useful warning, but no tool can tell you exactly how a particular ATS will rank you.
- Is my CV stored or sent anywhere?
- No. The scoring runs in your browser. Your CV and the job ad are never uploaded, saved or used to train anything.
- Should I just add every missing keyword?
- Only the ones that are true. Add a keyword when you have really done the work, ideally inside a bullet that shows the result. Stuffing in skills you don't have gets caught in the interview.
